WHAT ABOUT FRESHMAN & SOPHOMORES?

At this stage, most players will not be recruited yet, so the priority should be on learning and development rather than exposure. The IDX Summer College ID Camp is still a great option because we make teaching a priority by having college coaches lead a variety of learning opportunities:

✅ It allows younger players to compete against older, stronger athletes

✅ Multiple learning opportunities (not just showcase play). Video Analysis, Collegiate Training Sessions, and Tactical Talks led by college coaches.

✅ Recruiting tips & top learning environment to prepare Players to stand-out in the future

🔹 We recommend freshmen & sophomores attend the IDX Summer College ID Camp so they can continue prioritizing their development so they can stand out in the future when recruiting matters most.

WHAT ABOUT 8TH GRADERS?

For 8th graders, we highly recommend the Elite Residential Academy due to:

✅ Longer duration (more time for coaches to build a relationship and impact development)

✅ High-level coaching staff (pro, college, and national team experience)

✅ Build confidence by working with top Pro, National Team, & Collegiate Coaches.

🔹 The IDX Summer College IDCamp can still be a good option, but only if the player is going with older teammates or friends and wants to compete against older players. The physical gap between an 8th grader and a freshman or sophomore can oftentimes be significant and restrict the amount of learning opportunities for the player. For this reason, the Elite Residential Academy could be a better fit for development at this stage.
